Alan Tull has 14 years’ experience writing Linux drivers. He has written a kernel framework (on the mailing list) for controlling FPGA’s (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) including a manufacturer-agnostic set of functions for programming FPGA’s and a simple-fpga-bus that loads FPGA’s under the control of device tree overlays. His other recent work includes upstreamed driver support for Designware GPIOs, added regulator control for the hardware monitoring framework, and added suspend to ram support for SOCFPGA. He holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to working at Altera, he held Linux developer positions at Freescale Semiconductor and Cirrus Logic.
